To mark the conclusion of the open-workshop restoration of Jacob Jordaens’ large-scale masterpiece The Ferry-Boat to Antwerp (circa 1623), the museum presents an exhibition which focuses on the painting’s creation, concept, and significance within art history. The one-year-long restoration work, supplemented by technical studies and other research, has yielded new knowledge about the painting and the artist’s original working method.
